Sort Your Safety
Sort Your Safety is a FREE program for LGBTQ+ young people in Australia. To join, please complete the registration form lower down this page.
The program is available in person and online and supports the prevention of sexual violence in the community. For child protection and safety reasons, groups are run for 16 – 18 year olds, and separately for 19 – 24 year olds.
This is about real-life stuff, specific to the LGBTQ+ context. We’ll discuss:
- setting personal boundaries
- connecting with your community
- speaking up when something feels off
- trusting your gut and spotting red flags
- empowering yourself in friendships and dating
You’ll learn what mutual respect actually looks like – where both people feel safe, heard and in control. Most importantly, you’ll meet other LGBTQ+ young people like you while you power up your skillset, enjoy yummy food at each in-person session, and have fun!
If you’re in a relationship and both of you want to take part, please sign up for different groups.
Upon completion of the full program and evaluation surveys (see ‘Consent’ below) you’ll receive a Sort Your Safety Community Ambassador certificate and a $100 Gift Card as a thumbs up for investing in yourself.

Parents/guardians/carers can also sign and return a letter to support the involvement of their young person in this program, if they wish. This is not compulsory but if you’d like to sign the parent letter to accompany the registration of a young person please download and complete this letter and return to mail@strongsafefabulous.online with the name of your young person in the email subject line.
